St. Nicholas Cathedral

St. Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral serves as the Primatial Cathedral of the Orthodox Church in America, bearing witness to the life and mission of the Orthodox Church in this country. In this sacred place, in the heart of our nation’s capital, the faithful gather for the Divine Services—to hear the Word of God, to offer prayer, and to partake of the Holy Eucharist, through which we are united to Christ. The Cathedral is also a place of stillness and prayer, where all may come to seek God, light a candle, and encounter the beauty of His house. Here, too, we are joined not only in worship, but in fellowship, as a warm and welcoming community seeking to grow together in faith, hope, and love. We invite you to come, to pray, and to encounter the peace and presence of Christ.
